We have grown to know his teachers through his frequent and positive comments about them. He is challenged relative to his classmates and is encouraged to excel beyond his peers in areas of interest. * In 2006-2007 New York used the New York State Assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, in grades 4 and 8 in science and in grades 5 and 8 in social studies. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
