I'm a junior at this school. I think MCSM is a very challenging and an overall great high school, but the acceptance of all zoned kids is sadly bringing down the school's academic achievements. They should be a little more selective in choosing incoming freshmen.

This is my first year in Manhattan Center and so far, I like it. The curriculum and after school curriculum are very good, even though most of the things offered are offered to juniors and seniors. My daughter just finished her first year at MCSM. She had a good experience and enjoy the curriculum. The teachers are challenging the students to a higher level then many other high schools I know about. Manhattan Center- Science and math is one of the most unsafe school I seen. It's not a good high school to go. I highly suggest you not to go there or your children.

I was a former student who graduated in 2004 and I loved my time at Manhattan Center. It truly is a college preparatory high school. * In 2005-2006 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science and physics are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
