The Village School corrupted progressive education. Progressive education is for children, not young adults nearing independence. It is a shame to see them adjust to normalcy after they leave Village School. The Village School is a disgrace to our educational system.

This school changed my life. It is the most phenomenal place I have ever been, and after the other schools I tried, it is the proverbial breath of fresh air. I could not have asked for a more welcoming, friendlier, more suited to my needs school than this one, right here.

I believe that the Village School has provided the right environment for my son to succeed where he was unable to do so in a traditional school setting. This high school does not prepare for college and society. College is so different than high school. One it is very inclusive which means it includes all students. Honestly, this school is horrible to students with special needs. They force them to only take resource room and nothing else! It says on their website that it is for students who had difficulty in a larger classroom setting. There is only one special education teacher and the rest is all general education ...  Read more

* In 2005-2006 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science and physics are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
