Being a teacher myself every school teaches to the test and Polk Street is no exception. The teachers are not to blame but the state. This is what they want. Polk street is a great school.

The teachers are forced to teach to the test. There is so much test prep at this school it is ridiculous. Kids don't have the opportunity to create class projects or put on plays if they are in a testing grade. We had a great art teacher a few years ago but the art program is very lacking now. Have found school to very good in communicating with parents and letting parent be aware of what is going on in the school and with there child

I have found Polk st. school to be excellent. The quality of their academics programs is outstanding as well as in music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities. The level of parent involvement is high which I feel is very important.
